at FiCO PanU Award Ceremony

CMC technology used in pioneering development projects eliminated over – 1,574 tonnes of embodied CO2

Ho Chi Minh City, 11th June 2025, Wednesday – FiCO Pan-United Concrete Joint Stock Company (“FiCO PanU”) honoured today the stakeholders of sustainability projects – The Infiniti – the third phase of Riviera Point, Celesta Avenue and Essensia Sky – for pioneering the use of Carbon Mineralised Concrete (CMC) in all three projects that eliminated embodied carbon dioxide (CO2) totalling over 1,574 tonnes at the construction stage as at 31st May 2025. This is equivalent to CO2 sequestered by  26,026 tree seedlings grown for 10 years.

FiCO PanU’s inaugural CEO Dinner & CMC Technology Sustainability Award Ceremony commemorated the official launch of PanU CMM+ (Carbon Mineralised Mortar), a full suite of advanced sustainable ready-mixed mortar solutions, tailor-made to replace bagged cement site-mixed mortar and further support Vietnam’s decarbonisation goals of meeting the country’s net-zero commitment by 2050.

The awardees for the evening are listed below:

      • Keppel Vietnam and Coteccons Construction for The Infiniti
      • Phuoc Kien and Tuan Le Construction for the Celesta Avenue project
      • Phu Long and Central Construction for the Essensia Sky project

This ceremony also marked the successful completion of the tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed in May 2024 by Keppel Vietnam, Coteccons and FiCO PanU. This collaboration laid the foundation for Keppel and Coteccons to utilise CMC Technology, a first for Vietnam, specifically for The Infiniti – project in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City.

Key leaders from Vietnam’s real estate and construction sectors were present at the event to recognise and celebrate pioneering achievements in sustainable construction and low carbon concrete innovation. The exclusive by-invitation-only event was held at the Lai Restaurant at Saigon Centre, which incidentally was also a key project supplied by FiCO PanU.

VIPs at the event included Mr Ken Loh, CEO of Pan-United Corporation Ltd (Singapore); Mr Lee Leong Seng, Head of Property Development, Keppel Real Estate Vietnam; Mr Nguyen Quoc Sang, Director of Project Management, Phu Long Real Estate Corporation;  Mr Vo Hoang Lam, CEO BU1 of Coteccons; Mr  Mike Gammel, CEO of Tuan Le Construction and Mr Tran Quang Tuan, Founder-Chairman & CEO of Central Construction, Ms Phan Thu Hang- Chair of the Board VGBC.

During the dinner, Mr Ken Loh shared on the Pan-United purpose to  ‘Decarbonise the World with Concrete’, highlighting the milestones achieved so far in its sustainability journey. Pan-United had become the world’s top producer of carbon mineralised concrete, achieving the highest CO2  savings per plant.

Mr Loh added: “Pan-United is proud to introduce the CMC Technology to Vietnam. By providing low carbon concrete and mortar solutions such as PanU CMC+ and PanU CMM+, we are helping to reduce embodied carbon emissions in Ho Chi Minh City. We thank our partners for the meaningful collaboration and look forward to more joint efforts to build greener projects”.

In the CEO sharing session, Mr Lee Leong Seng, Head of Residential Real Estates from Keppel Vitenam said “ Sustainability is joint efforts and partnership among developers, architects, engineers, main contractors and suppliers like FiCO PanU, the success of the tripartite MOU for The Infiniti project is an excellent example”
